The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES for short, was the fourth-generation console released by Nintendo in several territories around the world between 1990 and 1993. In Japan the console was known as the Super Family Computer, Super Famicom, or SFC for short, while in South Korea it was known as the Super Comboy.
