Direct combat

Direct combat is one of two types of combat in the Wars series. Simpler than indirect combat, direct combat is engaged by moving into a tile next to an opposing unit and selecting "Fire". The units in question then attack each other in a cutscene; Damage is determined by the appropriate damage charts.
